Addressing the India AI Impact Summit 2026, French President Emmanuel Macron said that the future of AI will be built by those who combine innovation and responsibility, and that India and France will help shape this future together.

He praised India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI), saying the country has accomplished what no other nation has — creating a digital identity system that serves all 1.4 billion citizens.
