Goa Launches First Pilgrimage Train to Velankanni

The Goa Government has launched the first pilgrimage train of the year for senior citizens, departing from Margao Railway Station to the Roman Catholic pilgrimage town of Velankanni in Tamil Nadu.
The train service has been started under the Mukhyamantri Dev Darshan Yatra scheme, a flagship initiative of the Goa Government.
The scheme offers senior citizens a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit major religious destinations outside the state, promoting spiritual engagement and cultural travel.
