 More than 8.50 lakh tourists visited Atal Bridge in just 7 months

The iconic Atal Bridge built on the Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad, India’s first heritage city, has today become a center of attraction for the city dwellers of Ahmedabad as well as tourists from home and abroad. Be it Diwali vacation or summer vacation, this Atal Foot Over Bridge has become a favorite destination for people to visit. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi opened the Atal Bridge to the public on August 27, 2022. 

According to the latest data provided by SRFDCL (Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd.), a total of 77,71,269 people have visited Atal Bridge from August 31, 2022 to October 2025. 

During this time, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has also earned an income of more than ₹27.70 crore, which is a matter of pride for the tourism sector of Ahmedabad. Iconic

More than 8.50 lakh tourists visited Atal Bridge in just 7 months from April 2025 to October 2025. 

Atal Footover Bridge has become a center of attraction for tourists from India and abroad, including the city residents of Ahmedabad. 

It is worth mentioning that Ahmedabad is the most advanced city in Gujarat, which has preserved its old heritage along with modernization. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, various tourist attractions have been developed to provide an unprecedented experience to the tourists visiting Ahmedabad city. Millions of tourists come to Ahmedabad to visit tourist attractions like Gandhi Ashram, Sabarmati Riverfront, Kankaria Lakefront, the world’s largest Narendra Modi Stadium, the old pol culture of Ahmedabad city, Ahmedabad Heritage Walk etc. Among them, Atal Footover Bridge is a living symbol of modern architecture, Gujarati culture and urban beauty. Year-wise statistical details of tourists visiting Atal Bridge SRFDCL (Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited) is a company of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), and Atal Bridge has been constructed by this company. 

If we talk about the year-wise statistics provided by SRFDCL in detail, from 31 August 2022 to March 2023, 21.62 lakh tourists visited Atal Bridge, generating a revenue of ₹6.44 crore. From April 2023 to March 2024, 26.89 lakh visitors generated a revenue of ₹8.24 crore, and from April 2024 to March 2025, 20.67 lakh visitors generated a revenue of ₹8.19 crore. From April 2025 to October 2025, 8.51 lakh visitors have visited Atal Bridge, generating a revenue of ₹4.82 crore to the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
