PM Modi’s Malaysia visit: Important MoUs signed in his first foreign trip of 2026

 The exchange of MoUs took place between India and Malaysia in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Malaysia.

Addressing the joint press statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Malaysia is the first nation he is paying a visit to in 2026 and added that India and Malaysia’s civilisations, shared cultural heritage, and democratic values still bind both nations together.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also stressed strong cultural ties and the importance of the Indo‑Pacific, and reiterated India’s commitment to peace and stability in the region.

PM Modi reiterated India’s stand against terrorism and called for reforming global institutions to address global uncertainties.
