President and Prime Minister pay tribute on Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary

President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda on the occasion of his 164th birth anniversary, observed as National Youth Day.
Paying homage to the spiritual leader, President Droupadi Murmu, in a social media post, said that she offered her humble tributes to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary. She described him as a timeless visionary and spiritual icon, stating that he preached inner strength and service to humanity as the foundations of a meaningful life. The President said that Swami Vivekananda carried India’s eternal wisdom to the world, instilled national pride among Indians, and inspired the youth to contribute to nation-building. She added that his teachings will continue to inspire humanity.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda in a social media post, saying that he remains a powerful source of inspiration for India’s youth. The Prime Minister said that Swamiji’s personality and works continue to strengthen the nation’s resolve towards building a developed India.
