Tourism Department Pre-Summit to explore themes ranging from film tourism to rural tourism, Industry experts will share Insights on how Rajasthan can build and sustain a vibrant year-round tourist season

Jaipur, 18th November : The Tourism Pre-Summit, scheduled for November 27, is set to bring together leading minds from the tourism sector to explore how Rajasthan can be positioned as a perennial tourist destination. As part of the series of events leading up to Pravasi Rajasthani Divas, this Pre-Summit has been initiated under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma.
The inaugural session will be graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister as the Chief Guest, with the Deputy Chief minister and Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Smt. Diya Kumari, attending as the Special Guest. Joining them will be, Shri Suman Billa, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, who will address the gathering alongside Shri Rajesh Yadav, Principal Secretary, Tourism, Government of Rajasthan and Smt. Rukmini Riar Commissioner, Tourism, Government of Rajasthan.
The event is also expected to mark the release of Rajasthan’s new Tourism Policy and the Film Tourism Promotion Policy, both of which aim to boost tourism and encourage filmmakers to choose Rajasthan as their canvas.
Following the inaugural session, industry experts and stakeholders will discuss a wide range of themes – from film tourism and digital marketing to homestays, rural tourism, and investment opportunities. Renowned film and television actor Shri Rajeev Khandelwal will speak on the role of cinema in spotlighting Rajasthan on the global tourism map.
Smt. Preeti Satyanarayan, President of EaseMyTrip, will offer insights into digital marketing strategies that can elevate Rajasthan’s global presence. Smt. Devyani Bhatnagar, Co-Creator of Lali Homestay, will highlight the growing potential of homestays in strengthening domestic tourism, while Shri Apoorva Kumar, MD of Clarks Group of Hotels, will discuss how tourism can drive economic growth and attract sustainable investments.
By bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, and experts, the Tourism Pre-Summit will set the stage for deeper sectoral discussions at the ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Divas’. It will help shape a more holistic and future-ready vision for tourism development in Rajasthan.
