Two Infiltrators Killed as Army Thwarts Infiltration Attempt in Kupwara’s Keran Sector

Operation Pimple: Two militants were neutralised in a gunfight by the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara region. A gunfight broke out near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Keran sector of Kupwara district on Friday (November 7) after security forces intercepted an infiltration attempt from across the border.
The operation was launched based on specific intelligence inputs from security agencies regarding the movement of infiltrators in the area. Alert troops deployed along the LoC noticed suspicious activity and challenged the infiltrators, who responded with indiscriminate firing.
The troops retaliated, leading to a fierce exchange of fire. Two militants have been neutralised in the operation.
