Government invites nominations for Awards to be presented on the eve of Republic Day 2026

In Jammu and Kashmir, the UT Government has invited nominations for the J&K Government Awards for 2026, to be presented on the eve of Republic Day. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that according to a notification issued by the General Administration Department, the awards will recognise outstanding contributions in bravery, literature, performing arts, art and crafts, social reforms, public service, lifetime achievements, sports, media, environment, and industrial entrepreneurship. Nominations have been sought from social and sports bodies, NGOs, Universities, the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, and Administrative Secretaries. The last date for submitting entries is December 15, 2025.
