IMD Alert: Warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in several states, including Rajasthan.

The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over coastal Karnataka, Keralam, and Puducherry’s Mahe, along with Rajasthan, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, on Sunday, the 2nd of August.
Heavy rainfall is also likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Bihar, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Goa, parts of Maharashtra, Odisha, and Uttarakhand.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are probable across several parts of the country.
Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall is anticipated over northwest and northeast India in the coming days, with a significant reduction in intensity over Gujarat and the southern peninsular region.
Residents in vulnerable areas have been advised by the IMD to remain vigilant.
