Narendra Modi’s Netherlands visit: New direction for semiconductor, AI and robotics collaboration, Tata-ASML agreement sealed

India’s Ministry of External Affairs on Saturday held a special press conference on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Netherlands. MEA Secretary (West) Sibi George briefed the conference on the key topics discussed during the visit, including semiconductor, robotics, AI and more.

The Secretary added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Netherlands Prime Minister Rob Jetten adopted an ambitious roadmap for the newly announced strategic partnership to steer cooperation across multiple sectors.

MEA Secretary Sibi George said the two leaders attended the signing of a partnership agreement between Tata Electronics and Netherlands’ ASML, which will support the semiconductor fabrication facility in Gujarat’s Dholera.

Highlighting the key outcomes of the visit, the MEA Secretary said the visit was marked by “a lot of positivity and energy” in bilateral engagement, reflecting growing momentum in ties between the two countries.
