India Meteorological Department alert: Rain and storm likely in many states

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) is forecasting isolated to scattered rainfall and thunderstorms across several regions this week.

In the north, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad can expect light rainfall or snowfall, along with isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds.

In the northeast, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh are likely to see scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds.

Meanwhile, the national capital, Delhi, recorded a temperature of 20.6 degrees Celsius on Monday morning, with maximum temperatures expected to gradually rise by 3 to 6 degrees in Northwest India in the coming days.
