IPL 2026: Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings: Grand Finale at Wankhede today

RNE Network.

The biggest rivalry of the Indian Premier League is set to take centre stage today as the Mumbai Indians are set to host the Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, with the match scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM IST.

Both teams in the IPL El Clásico have spent much of the first half languishing near the bottom of the table. Both teams are searching for rhythm, but it is CSK that arrive with more immediate concerns. A faltering chase of a 190-plus target in Hyderabad over the weekend exposed their fragility, and the absence of injured Ayush Mhatre, their leading run-scorer this season, only compounds the challenge.

Mumbai Indians, too, have fitness concerns. Rohit Sharma has missed the last two games with a hamstring issue, and his availability will hinge on a late assessment. There is, however, a boost in the form of Will Jacks, who is set to be available for selection for the first time this season.
