Five major matches involving Indian shuttlers are scheduled for today at the 2026 World Badminton Championships, currently underway in New Delhi.
In this knockout round, India’s star shuttler and former champion PV Sindhu will face China’s Wang Zhi Yi in the women’s singles pre-quarterfinals.
In men’s singles, young Indian player Ayush Shetty will face Indonesia’s Alwi Farhan.
Meanwhile, in men’s doubles, India’s star pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will take on Malaysia’s Junaidi Arif and Yap Roy King.
In addition, the women’s doubles pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand, along with Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto, will also take to the court, with a place in the quarterfinals at stake.
