IPL 2026: KKR, MI set for Key IPL Clash in Kolkata

RNE Sports.
Kolkata Knight Riders face a must-win clash against Mumbai Indians in Kolkata today to keep their IPL 2026 playoff hopes alive.
Another defeat would officially end KKR’s campaign and mark a second straight disappointing season under captain Ajinkya Rahane. Even a win may not be enough, as KKR also need Punjab Kings to lose later this week.
After a poor start to the season, KKR bounced back strongly with five wins in their last six matches. Overseas stars Finn Allen and Cameron Green have led the revival, while Sunil Narine continues to be a key performer.
For Mumbai, already out of the playoff race, the focus will be on finishing the season with pride and spoiling KKR’s chances. Hardik Pandya has missed MI’s last three games due to back spasms, while Suryakumar Yadav did not play against Punjab Kings due to personal reasons. Both are available for selection on Wednesday.
The match will begin at 7:30 PM IST at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
