India’s ace doubles pair, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will lock horns with Indonesia’s Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin in the summit clash of the Thailand Open, seeking their third career title at the Super 500 event.
The Indian duo stormed into the final by displaying remarkable composure under pressure to outclass the world number nine Malaysian pair — Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin. They came from behind to beat the third-seeded Malaysians in a contest that lasted one hour and 22 minutes.
It is their third final appearance at the tournament and first of the season. They won the title in 2019 and 2024. The Indian pair have a 4–0 head-to-head advantage over their final opponents, but this will be the first time they will take on the Indonesians in the final of a tournament.
