Indian Rupee hits record low of 93.83 against dollar

The Indian rupee opened at a fresh record low of 93.83 against the US dollar on Monday, extending its weakness after logging its sharpest single-day decline in four years last Friday.
The currency opened lower compared to its previous close of 93.76, marking a 1.2% fall against the greenback in the last session—the steepest since February 2022. In the offshore market, the rupee had already slipped past the 94 level against the US dollar, signaling continued pressure.
